Saturday night, the IDF killed Abdullah Kawasme, HAMAS engineer of bus bombings, mastermind behind the recent bus bombing in Jerusalem that killed 17, and wounded scores more -- and at least four other major attacks.

Colin Powell's response? "I regret it happened," Powell said. "I regret that we continue to find ourselves trapped in this action and counter-action, provocation and reaction to provocation . . . I regret we had an incident that could be an impediment to progress," he said. "It is a matter of concern. It is still important to remain committed to moving forward."

Meanwhile, PM Sharon is ready to hand over security control of any parts of the terrortories for which the Palestinians are ready to take responsibility, and Hamas will not accept a ceasefire. "They say they have not been defeated." More at JPost.
