IDF Advocate General: Rachel Corrie killed by accident

The military investigation of Rachel Corrie's death included extensive interrogations of the bulldozer driver and his commanders, over a long period of time, with the use of polygraph tests and video evidence. An autopsy of Corrie's body revealed that the cause of death was from falling debris and not from the tractor physically rolling over her. The Military Advocate General's office further stated that it was impossible for the driver to have seen or heard Corrie. According to a military source quoted in JPost, "she was standing behind debris which obstructed the view of the driver and the driver had a very limited field of vision due to the protective cage he was working in." Both the driver and his commanders were cleared of any wrongdoing. Full story at JPost.

The Foreign Ministry, the IDF, the Government Press Office and the Prime Minister's Office have all suggested and begun to implement a number of steps to curtail the presence of "those whose aim is to interfere with IDF operations in the area, including the area along the border with Egypt - acts that endanger their lives and those of the soldiers - such as those who belong to the ISM organization."

Checking to see if there was any response from ISM (there's not), I did notice they're trying to drum up business for the summer. Think of all those college students with free time. In a promotion for "Freedom Summer Palestine 2003," -- a campaign designed to "directly challenge the Israeli occupation policy of caging Palestinians in their cities, towns and villages" -- the ISM promises (or threatens) that "hundreds of people from all over the world will converge in Palestine for 6 weeks of actions aimed at highlighting and challenging the oppressive Israeli occupation of Palestinian land and lives, through coordinated popular, nonviolent direction-action."

Too bad there's so many antisemites who are willing to pay good money to help out terrorists.
It's sick, it's getting worse, and hardly anyone objects.
