Powell and Rice follow the Roadmap

Both Secretary of State Colin Powell and National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice said on Sunday talk shows that Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat "should not be allowed to spoil Bush's peace initiative for the region." See the Miami Herald / Associated Press for details.

In other news, Sgt.-Maj. Chen Angel, 31 years old, of Ramat Gan, is buried today. Angel is survived by his wife, Lilach, who is pregnant with the couple's second child, and a three-year-old son. He was murdered yesterday by Palestinian terrorists. Others murdered yesterday were Sgt.-Maj. Boaz Emet, 23, Sgt.-Maj. Asaf Abarjil, also 23, and Sgt. Udi Ayelet, 37.

The same IDF in which Chen Angel served, has released a list of Jewish communities in disputed territories to be removed, by force if necessary. Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place: these families are threatened on the one side, by neighboring Palestinian terrorists, and on the other side, by the army sworn to protect them. One might come into their home and kill them and their children; the other might drag them from their home and bulldoze it -- furniture, clothing, toys and all.

From Yesha News, "We hope that the Israeli government will reconsider its acts and would not evacuate Jews from their homes." We hope so too.
