Death toll rises in Jerusalem

Rachel Weiss, 70 years old, died today from wounds inflicted in Tuesday's terrorist attack. The bombing was the single most lethal attack in Jerusalem since the outbreak of Palestinian violence which began almost three years ago. A Palestinian cleric, an Islamic imam, father of two with a pregnant wife at home, purposefully chose a public bus crowded with religious families, including many children, and blew himself up there. The explosives he wore were hidden under his diguise; he wore the clothing of an observant Jew.

Six children were among the 21 murdered, and 40 children were among the 120 wounded.

May the family and friends of Rachel Weiss be comforted among all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
