UPDATE - Arab bombing of U.S. convoy
. . . a Palestinian government official, who would not be quoted by name, said that if Americans were targeted, "it would not be coincidental that it came a day after the U.S. vetoed a U.N. resolution against Israel's fence, and a few days after the U.S. said Israel had the right to destroy houses in Rafah, and a week after the U.S. said it was okay for Israel to attack Syria, and after a period when it was impossible to distinguish between America's Middle East policy and [Israeli Prime Minister Ariel] Sharon's Middle East policy."
