1 in 8 of Palestinian dead were killed by their own side
An ongoing study by the International Policy Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya provides an in-depth look at the fatalities on both sides of the current Palestinian/Israeli conflict. Based on thorough research using Palestinian and Israeli open sources, the study provides a breakdown of those killed by age, gender, and combatant status.
WOMEN'S ISSUES
One learns from this study (as of 5/03), that while 116 Palestinian females were killed, more than twice that many Israeli females were killed.
Of Israeli non-combatants killed, 40% were female. Of Palestinian non-combatants killed, only 9% were female.
