In terms of Jewish pride, Israeli government outdone by cartoon character

A recent episode of the popular "Simpsons" cartoon show featured the Bar Mitzvah of the middle aged 'Krusty the Clown.' Krusty, a regular character on the show, was known in previous editions for his personal problems, including his dependency on alcohol and his poor relationship with his family.

VOICE OF JUDEA COMMENTARY:
It's really sad to see Israel's leaders (Ehud Olmert, Sharon, etc) outdone by a cartoon character in terms of Jewish pride. An alcoholic, often depressed cartoon clown with pointy green hair is now a greater symbol of Jewish pride and tradition than the leaders of the supposedly Jewish state. After that episode I can't tell if I should laugh or cry.
