As Arafat's al Aqsa Brigades arm children, and HAMAS promises a renewal of suicide bombings against Israelis, the U.S. meets with Palestinians and Israel pledges to give up settlements in a move to "disengage" from the Palestinians.

Saddam Hussein is in chains, but Arafat rules.

None of it makes any rational sense whatsoever; we are in the anti-world of Galut, of exile.
