HamAss leader Yassin prepared to accept Palestinian state

On Dec. 23rd, Yassin, founder and leader of the HamAss, insisted on resistance and said in a telephone address in the West Bank that "the land of Palestine" was not for sale or bargaining and insisted on the "liberation of the entire holy land from the Mediterranean to the Jordan River, from Ras Al-Naqura to the Negev" (according to Jihad unspun).

Today, according to the Jerusalem Post , he has told a Gaza-based German journalist that he is prepared to accept a temporary peace with Israel and a Palestinian state on the West Bank and Gaza, with Jerusalem as its capital.
