Newt Gingrich on Fox last night

I'm astounded that I agreed with his reasoning
In an interview with O'Reilly, Gingrich pointed out that Britain, France, Germany and Russia thought that Saddam had WMD. The UN thought Saddam had WMD. David Kay and others have stated unequivocally that Saddam thought he had weapons of mass destruction, as did his top generals. To expect our intelligence agencies to ascertain information from within a dictatorship, that even the dictator himself did not know, is... simply ridiculous.

To my mind, criticism of our intelligence -and or the President- for not knowing otherwise is especially unwelcome coming from Senators (like Kerry) or Representatives who voted against increased funding for those intelligence services!
