"If there must be trouble let it be in my day, that my child may have peace."

--Thomas Paine

I saw this quote during a 9/11 memorial video presentation at http://members.cox.net/classicweb/email.htm

My daughter frequently gets frustrated with my blogging, and refers to it derisively as "just sitting on the computer." If I tried to explain that I am doing what little I can to make her future both safe and free, I would cry, and then she would really think me useless. She hates "mushy-gushy" stuff.

My Yehudit is only half a year younger than the 12-year-old who was attacked recently in Paris, coming out of a Jewish school. Two men "beat her, held her down and slashed her face with a box cutter. They carved a swastika into her face and walked away."

Gd help us, and if there is to be trouble, let it be in my day.
