Linda Ronstadt

"It’s a real conflict for me when I go to a concert and find out somebody in the audience is a Republican or fundamental Christian. It can cloud my enjoyment. I’d rather not know.”
-- in an interview with the San Diego Union-Tribune, published two days before she was removed from the Aladdin in Las Vegas.

The New York Times defends Ronstadt, faults the audience at the Aladdin.  It says those who were upset with Ronstadt's praise of Michael Moore (and her unsolicited advice to see his movie, Farehate 911) "were the ones who should have been thrown out and told never to return."

Dissent is cool when it "speaks truth to power," but not when it speaks truth to lies?
