What follows is the listing for the month of June 2004.

Australia
Graffiti reading: "Die Jewish Dogs" was daubed on a wall near the Chabad House of Caulfield Synagogue in the Melbourne suburb of East St. Kilda.
Austria
On 24th June 2004, a letter with antisemitic and xenophobic contents was received at the Jewish Community Building in Vienna.
Belgium
On 24th June 2004 at about 23:00 hours, four yeshiva students were attacked in Wilrijk a suburb of Antwerp. The students were attacked by 10 Belgians of North African extraction. One of the students was grabbed and stabbed in the back. He suffered serious injuries, but is in stable condition in a hospital in Antwerp. Representatives of the entire political spectrum in Belgium condemned the incident. In reaction to the attack, the Belgian Jewish community planned a pluralistic demonstration for Sunday 27th June 2004 near the cenotaph in memory of the victims of the Holocaust.
Germany
Several vandals sprayed swastikas and other Nazi symbols on more than 40 gravestones in the Jewish cemetery in Düsseldorf. The vandalism was discovered by a member of the Jewish community who had come to the place. A complaint was registered with the police.
Britain
A person received an anti-Semitic telephone call on 23 June in Liverpool. The caller said, "you are the dirtiest Jew in the world...you should have been gassed in Auschwitz...I'm going to cut you up."

A mezuzah had been taken off the front door post of the side entrance of a Jewish community centre.

A pupil got onto a bus, leaving her Jewish school and saw two males and two females that had previously bullied her. The victim tried to avoid them but they followed her to the front. They started calling the victim, "dirty Jew," and, "you shouldn't be in this country, why are you on this bus, it's getting dirty, you piece of scum." When the victim tried to alight the bus, one of the perpetrators pressed the close button, and the door shut on the victim's arm.

Three different kosher butchers had received a letter from a group called PWA (Protection and Welfare of Animals). They claim that they do not tolerate the appalling cruelty and suffering that religious slaughter involves.They state that the government is not doing anything, as it is, "so weak and accommodating of both Muslims and Jews and their every request." The letter finishes by the declaring that the establishments have until the end of July to close down, and if the recipients of the letter do not comply, then they will close their shops for them.

A journalist received an antisemitic mailing. The letter – 11 pages long – accuses Judaism of being Communist, Bolshevik and of Jews controlling the media. It claims that Israel uses pornography in their battle against the Palestinians. It also claims that all movements in the world have derived from Judaism, that's why the Jews are hated.

A Jewish family found on 22 June that the air had been let out of the tyres of the family's car. This is not the first time that they had been victims of an attack. They have found excrement on their driveway, the wires were cut to their outside light, their front door was scratched badly and their mezuzah was broken on their front door.
Britain – Verbal abuse against a woman in Hendon, London
A woman was standing outside her house holding her grandchild when a female came up to the victim and started shouting, "you fucking Jewish bitch, Hitler should have got you all,you all should have died."
The Czech Republic
The famous Czech actress Bara Hrzanova received a number of threatening letters which mention the fact that she is Jewish, and speak of her "Jewish" hair and nose. The background to these letters was the thank you speech she had made on the occasion of her receiving an award. In her speech, she read a piece from the play "Hrdy Budez" in which she is appearing in which she calls Russians and Communists swine. (The play deals with the Communist era in Czechoslovakia). The letters claim that the Jews and the ODS Party are responsible for the situation in the Czech Republic and not the Communists. The letters also included threats to her family. In addition to that, the Czech Communist Party will sue Bara Hrzanova for her racist remarks.

Window panes were shattered on three of the six front doors of the Melbourne Hebrew Congregation on 21 June.
Britain
The victim was walking around Borehamwood, Hertfordshire when three youths shouted "Jew" at him and started to follow him so he ran away.

On 17th and 18th June 2004, two synagogues were torched in London. In the first instance, vandals broke into the storage eroom of a synagogue in South Tottenham in London and stole a roll of toilet paper. After they had removed the bars from the window of a small synagogue attached to the main sanctuary, they set fire to the roll of toilet paper and tossed it into the synagogue. The burning roll set fire to a number of sacred books, some of which were over 100 years old and had been smuggled out of Germany and Poland by Jews who fled after Crystal Night. Construction workers working nearby noticed the smoke and tried to put out the fire. When their attempts failed, they called in the fire fighters. The synagogue suffered considerable damage.

In the second instance, the Center of the Esh Hatorah Educational Organization in Britain located in the Hendon section of London was set on fire. The organization's offices, located on the first floor were completely destroyed by the fire, and damage was also caused to a building housing a synagogue. Two Torah scrolls were torn up and many sacred books went up in flames. In addition, writings, representing years of work by rabbis, were destroyed.

Since late 2000 over 100 synagogues have been desecrated in Britain.

On 18 June a Jew was walking home from synagogue in Hendon, London, when a vehicle drove past and the occupant shouted, 'fucking dirty Jews,' at him.
Sweden
On 17th June 2004, vandals daubed the words "Boycott Israel" in a number of places on the sidewalk and steps near the entrance to a Jewish-owned shop in Stockholm.
Britain
Four youths were outside a Jewish school; one of the youths was waving a gun as the pupils were leaving. The police were called and arrived quickly and stopped the youths.The gun is thought to have been a toy gun.

On 16 June 68 gravestones were desecrated in the Jewish section of the Middlesborough cemetery. The perpetrators, apparently local youths, knocked down and smashed the gravestones causing severe damage to the site.
Britain
A number of youth verbally abused a Jewish family walking through the high street in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire on 15 June 2004. The husband wears a skull cap.
Russia
The newspaper Russkaya Obshchina Yekaterinburga was shut down on orders from the Sverdlovsk District Court following the publication of antisemitic articles. The order was issued in keeping with the law against incitement and xenophobia.
Britain
Pupils harassed Jewish pupils travelling home by bus from their Jewish school in Kenton. The pupils turned round to one of the Jewish pupils and said, "Judgement day for the Jews." They also declared that the victims had, been getting too loud for them. The perpetrators proceeded to throw a bottle filled with drink at them. They then rattled a glass bottle threateningly towards the victims.
Sweden
On 13th June 2004, a Youth League soccer game was played between the "Maccabi" and the "Iftin" Club made up of the children of Somali immigrants. The Somali coach was heard to instruct his team to beat up the Jewish players. In the course of the game epithets such as "Death to the Jews" and "We'll get you after the game" were heard as well as "Viva Falastin" and "Crush Zionism". After the game was over, at the time when it is customary for the players to exchange handshakes, the "Iftin" coach went over the one of the "Maccabi" players and punched him in the face. This "act" developed into a fist fight in which the "Maccabi" players (who had lost the game) were "treated" a shower of punches. When the fight was over, one of the "Maccabi" players was rushed to the hospital, where he required stitches. A complaint was made to the police as well as to the Soccer Association about the Somali coach's incitement and the behavior of his players.
Sweden
On 13th June 2004, a 16 year-old Jewish girl was attacked in Stockholm by a group of skinheads who shouted antisemitic epithets at her and called her a whore. They also gave the Nazi salute and shouted "Heil Hitler". They kicked her, knocked her to the ground and cut her with a knife. She was injured in the stomach, the chest and the hands. The girl managed to get to a public park and policemen there rushed to a hospital where she related that she had been attacked and cursed at. Despite the fact that the girl was attacked in a public place and in broad daylight, no one came to her aid.

On 13th June 2004, an e-mail letter denying the Holocaust was received by a Jewish organization in London. The letter read that the Jews are exploiting the lie of the Holocaust in order to blackmail the world and profit from German money. The writer added that the Jews had no right to land in the Middle East, that he himself had been a member of the "Waffen SS" in World War II and that he would shortly divulge the truth about the Holocaust.
France
On 11th June 2004, a drawing on a wall at the former concentration camp in Rivesaltes near Perpignan was defaced with the use of a scraper.

The sketch had been made by Jewish children in 1942 among the approximately 4500 Jews held in that camp, some 2300 of whom were murdered in Auschwitz.

A meeting dedicated to the memory of the children at the camp, with the participation of the Prefet and representatives of the Jewish community was scheduled for 12th June.
Britain
On 11 June a Holocaust denial letter was sent to a Jewish organization in London. An identical letter claiming that the Holocaust was a lie and never took place and that the Jews have been blackmailing the world to get money from the German people and land in the Middle East that they have no right to have, was sent to Jewish organizations in London also on 13 and 19 June. The writer claimed that he was a former member of the Waffen SS.

On 9th June 2004, a group of young persons which included three women and 10 men drew close to a group of about 20 youngsters of one of the Jewish youth movements. The leader of Jewish group, who wanted to prevent provocation, gathered the children together and tried to leave the scene. The other group surrounded them and started shouting at them: "You f…ing Jews"! One of the gang tried to start a fight with one of the girls from the Jewish group, but the members of his own group stopped him.

A pupil, wearing the uniform of a Jewish school, was leaving her Jewish school when a vehicle drove past and one of the occupants shouted out of the window, "Hitler's going to get you."

On 6th and 8th June 2004, members of the Jewish community in London received letter from the National Director of the Aryan Nations Organization. In the letters he wrote that there would soon be an opportunity to exterminate the Jews, that Hitler had been a gift to the race and that the organization had been rehabilitated and strengthened following a period of failure and inactivity.
Australia
On 5th June 2004, stickers reading "Jews are ruining your life", and other antisemtitic graffiti were spotted in the Bondi section of Sydney. The stickers were found on houses, street signs and the like. This is a neighborhood with a considerable Jewish population with two synagogues.
United States
A class yearbook published at a Middle School in Florida contained an antisemitic remark. An eight-grade pupil wrote "Death to the Jews" in German. Following a complaint made by a parent, the pupils were asked to tear that page out of the book and the "perpetrator" was suspended from school until the end of the school year in mid-June. The school's Administration claims that the message, which contained spelling mistakes, had somehow slipped through the editing process.
France
On the evening of 5th June 2004, a demonstration was held in Paris protesting United States policies and those of President Bush, who was visiting France at the time. The protestors passed by the building which houses a branch of the Beitar Zionist Youth Movement, the local Likud Party branch and a small synagogue serving the Jewish residents of Bd de Strasbourg. Some 15 demonstrators of Arab extraction tried to break down the building's external entrance door. Having failed to do that, they daub graffiti reading "death to Beitar" and the like on the door. An hour later, a group of 10-15 demonstrators who had failed to break down the door returned and tried once more, again unsuccessfully.
France
On 4th June 2004, a 17-year-old Jewish youth was stabbed near the school he attends in Epinay-sur-Seine. The victim said that his attacker had shouted "Allah Akbar" in the course of the attack. The youth was taken to the hospital in serious, but not life-threatening, condition. French Interior Minister Dominique de Villepin arrived at the scene of the attack and vociferously condemned it. Others condemning the act were French President Jacques Chirac and Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin.

On 3rd June 2004, swastikas and the words "Die Jews" were daubed on a local power station in Jersey.
Russia
On 3rd June 2004, Swastikas were daubed on a building belonging to the Jewish community in Yoskhar-ola.
Canada
On 3rd June 2004, 20 Jewish graves were desecrated at the historic cemetery in Saint-Foy, a section of Quebec City.
Germany
An Israeli wearing a skullcap who was on a visit to Germany was attacked by two men identified as Palestinians. He suffered face injuries and required hospital treatment. The police are investigating.
The Czech Republic
The word "Intifada" made out of wooden sticks and sprayed with green paint was discovered opposite the medical school in the city of Hradec Kralove. Some 30 Arab students are studying at the school. The police are investigating.
France
On 1st June 2004, a Jewish family living in Saint-Prix discovered that both their cars had been vandalized with swastikas and the word "Pacho" (fascist) scratched on them.
France
On 1st June 2004, a young woman was called a "dirty Jew" by the husband of the concierge of the building in which she lives in the 2nd Arrondissement in Paris.


Even with all this fastidiousness, they've left out a few things. Like the 12-year-old girl who was attacked in Paris. Two grown men beat her, held her down and slashed a swastika into her face with a box cutter. But maybe that wasn't in June. . . It's getting hard to keep track.

There's also a couple of stories in America that didn't make the cut: one about a federal lawsuit filed by a Jewish teenager against the Conejo Valley Unified School District in California, and another about the Burbank police shooting an Israeli man to death.
