There is it again!

Israel provides 45% of the Palestinian Authority budget
Maariv:  Dichter also spoke about the current situation in the Palestinian Authority: "The PA systems have collapsed, and it is receiving economic life support from Israel and Egypt. Its annual budget is $1 billion, 45% of which is provided by Israel."

Dichter termed the PA budget "distorted", with 9% being used to fund Yasser Arafat's office, which employs only about 320 people. Only 6% of the total budget, on the other hand, is allocated for Palestinian health services.
I think these figures bear repeating, don't you?

The PA's  annual budget is $1 billion.

45% - about $450 Million - is provided by Israel

9% goes to fund Yasser Arafat's office,
which employs only about 320 people,
while only 6%  is allocated for Palestinian health services.
Tell this to someone  tomorrow.  Watch them freak.  They will freak, won't they? It is crazy, isn't it?

Hell, send it to the Times.  letters@nytimes.com
